What’s been happening in the Space Zone? 🚀

The Space Zone, funded by the UK Space Agency and the Science and Technologies Facilities Council, is running until 27 November. There have already been 18 chats, and 36 questions in Ask from students to engineers. Here’s what’s been happening so far… Students have been asking about how our engineers got into their work, and what their lifetime goals are In the live chats, we’ve been learning about the difficulties of the job and the likelihood of alien life! Who is taking part in the Space Zone?

The Space Zone takes place from 2 to 27 November.  Over 4 weeks, students will put their questions to 11 engineers from across the UK. Students vote for their favourite engineer to win £500 for further STEM engagement. The engineers have a huge range of backgrounds and experiences, including: K-Jo, a maintenance engineer at Oxford Space Systems. Steve, a software engineer at Surrey Satellite Technologies.
